  14. KILOBYTERS is a disk full of (mostly) small files.  Kilobyters are meant to
  15. fill up the unused space on a disk, much like cartoons and public service
  16. advertising do in a paper newspaper.  It is free space, and the editor fills
  17. it by the kilobyte.

  21. Anything goes.  All works must be signed.  They may be copyrighted, but must be
  22. freely copyable.  Kilobyters can be cartoons like MISS_BAT.TXT, utilities like
  23. BROWSE.COM, interpreted BASIC programs like SIY2LINR.BAS, short stories like
  24. ARA*.TXT, advertising like KILOBYTE.ERS, and whatever else floats by.  The idea
  25. is that even if the main part of the disk isn't of the slightest interest to
  26. the reader, s\he may find a kilobyter or two which will make her pass the disk
  27. on rather than reformat it.  For independent bitflippers, this is free
  28. publicity.
